Event Sales Manager

Looking for a new opportunity? We’re currently recruiting for sales professionals in our Bristol office. Working on the largest business event in Europe, your job will be to bring in new business and to build relationships with new and existing exhibitors. This is the perfect opportunity to grow and develop a sales career.

Job Title: Event Sales Manager

Job Type: Full time

Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 (OTE: 40k - 50k)

Main Responsibilities:

• Proactively utilising multiple methods to identify a strong pipeline of new business

• Bringing in revenue through selling exhibition stand space & sponsorship opportunities

• Generating interest through engaging social media content

• Generating business via cold calling, networking and social selling

• Working with clients to package their exact exhibition requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong team player

• Clear and concise communicator

• Driven and motivated

• Strategic and proactive thinker

• Previous sales experience (Ideally as a sales executive or in business development)

• Experience building and maintaining relationships with clients

• A background in hitting and exceeding sales targets

• Experience in opening and closing sales


Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual to join our marketing team as a Marketing Assistant. Based in our central Bristol office, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing team with marketing activities and general administrative tasks.

Salary: £18,000 

Responsibilities include:

  • Regularly updating our social media accounts with show information and relevant news
  • Researching the industry to identify potential show partners and speakers and then creating proposals to get them on board
  • Forming relationships with our show partners and ensuring they have all the assets they need to promote the show
  • Writing articles on key themes relevant to the industry and publishing these on our show website
  • Helping to support the coordination of sales emails and show newsletters 
  • Maintaining our marketing databases
  • Assist with website updates when needed
  • Responsible for running our digital products including our monthly webinar programme and bi-monthly e-magazine

Experience needed:

  • Positive, enthusiastic self-starter who takes initiative and employs a problem-solving approach
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to design and build relevant, engaging, and informative posts and email communications
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise own workload
  • Have a good telephone manner
  • Excellent attention to detail

Lead Generation and Research Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Generation and Research Specialist. Based in our central Bristol office, you will be responsible for bringing in new business to one of our award-winning exhibitions. Working closely with the sales team, you will use a variety of platforms to identify, research, contact and build relationships with prospective customers.

This position will play a crucial role in creating, implementing and reinforcing best practices and procedures to generate new business and build upon the success of the sales team.

Job Title: Lead Generation and Research Specialist

Job Type: Full time

Salary: £18,000

Main responsibilities:

  • Prospecting, generating, qualifying, processing and following up on leads and appointment setting for the sales team
  • Collaboratively work with the sales and marketing team to develop lead generation strategies to generate lead opportunities with prospective customers
  • Effectively communicate and present the show to customers
  • Proactively use social media platforms and email to set up callbacks for the sales team
  • Research key areas of the show to identify new markets and leaders in the industry
  • Work with the marketing team to create informative and engaging articles to share across our channels to generate leads 
  • Help assist with the development of proposals for the sales team
  • Providing consistent, concise, accurate and timely weekly/monthly sales lead gen activity reports to management
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships

Required skills and expertise:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in a Business or International Relations discipline
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Strategic and proactive thinker
  • Driven by targets 
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate strong research and communication skills
